tempted

Funny how a picture of a pretty house can change your whole perspective on your readiness to buy, regardless of your financial circumstances.

  1. Don’t fall for it. I remember my friends kept telling me to just go see what’s out there and I refused to until I was qualified.

You’re a little late on that - I’ve been browsing houses off and on for at least the last year now. I’ve been browsing neighborhoods for at least the last six months now. I haven’t been seriously shopping, but I have been following the market by looking at houses in neighborhoods that I can afford and getting an understanding of what things cost. I wasn’t going to wait til I had the money together, because I knew the minute I felt ready, I would want to find a house and move!

  2. Oh, I fell in love so many times but wait until you get in the home…yikes! I once found several crack pipes in a home that looked super on the net. Don’t fall for it!

Well come on, who would buy a house without looking at it or getting it inspected? Wait - never mind, some people actually do that. Shame on them.

  3. We go looking in Bel Air. There is no way possible for us to get weak and buy. It does keep us inspired and in pursuit of our business goals.

That’s not a bad idea, but it wouldn’t work for me. I live in the midst of homes I can’t afford - I see them every day. All it makes me want to do is go find something I CAN afford.
