Most won't bother with small amounts -- the $5 and $10 increments -- because they don't see the value. They don't have the long term, compounded view of what the little crumbs can mean to their bottom line.

I recently gave up soda to save $100 a year and changed my medical insurance to save another $180 a year. Those small amounts might not have convinced others to make the change. (What's a 25¢ cola?) But over the long haul it adds up.

Keep fighting the fight.
