Mister Ant and I drove to visit his mom, weekend before last.
Within the next month, we’ll go to visit my parents and grandmother.
We’re trying to get it all out of our system before the gas prices go up for Memorial Day. I might not take another long car trip until after Labor Day.
Doggone gas prices.

I traveled this weekend and hated pumping gas. But yesterday I was on E again and I was so mad to see that gas has even increased since Sunday. They are trying to kill us.

McCain is trying to put a freeze on the gas tax for the summer… hopefully this goes through for some (limited) relief.

I typically fill up once every two weeks. It’s sticker shock each time b/c the price increased by 20 cents or so since the last fill-up! I’m so thankful that there’s reliable public transit round these parts.

You have the right kind of thinking trying to take trips before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. We’re looking at $4.00/gal gas very soon in DC and I don’t think people are really thinking about trips like you are.
