gift season
Finally gift season is almost over!
It starts with my mom’s birthday and Christmas. Then Sistah Beginner’s son’s birthday. Then my other best friend, Sistah Butterfly. Then an Mister Ant’s mom, my uncle, a couple friends, Valentine’s Day, me, an aunt, Mister Ant’s friend, and today, Mister Ant himself. Now all that’s left is the anniversary of our first date and Sistah Beginner’s birthday in June, and I have a little breathing room between now and then. Add in the various events that come up - housewarmings, baby showers, we even had a retirement dinner to attend. It’s been crazy. Wanna do your future kids a favor? Don’t conceive in springtime.
I’m thinking that those Christmas savers clubs from the days of old are a great idea. Except maybe I should have one that’s more all special occasions and not just for Christmas. I don’t mind spending the money. I DO mind that I know this stuff is coming but I haven’t planned for most of it. I should do better.
