ginger and lemon
Ever gone to a job interview while you were sick? There is a distinct possibility that I may wind up going to an interview on Tuesday for some contract work that would start on Wednesday. Now, I love interviewing. I’m great at interviewing. I’ve never had a problem with it because I know the key to doing well on an interview is not to act weird. By "acting weird," I mean being uptight, putting on a false persona, or being jittery and nervous. Some of the best jobs I’ve ever received are the ones where I just looked a person in the eye, gave them a confident handshake, and simply had genuinely interesting conversation with them. I’m not really much for networking or interviewing, but the key is to have such an attitude that the people I’m networking and interviewing with can’t tell I’d rather be somewhere else, blogging.
That might be a little hard to do if I have to go in tomorrow with this throat. My throat was raw on Saturday night, and although it’s better now, my voice hasn’t been right since. It’s about to be all about hot ginger tea with lemon.
