Ok Moneymonk and Debt Hater

Since y’all must have missed it when I did this "7 random things" meme already, I’ma do it one more time for each of you and then I’m done. :-)

14 - I like bananas.

13 - I was thinking this morning about being careful not to ever conceive a child in any Dec/Jan for fear of having a Virgo in my house.

12 - I am a Pisces.

11 - I’ve never been arrested, but I’ve been fingerprinted.

10 - I’m ambidextrous.

9 - I fractured my coccyx when I was twelve and sometimes I feel it when it rains.

8 - I like to play computer solitaire when I’m bored.

7 - I watch Korean soap operas, much to my honey’s frustration.

6 - I wore school uniforms from sixth grade up.

5 - I used to have a crush on Jimmy Fallon from Saturday Night Live.

4 - Now I have a secret crush on Mohinder from Heroes and if my honey knew, it might spoil our Monday night ritual of watching that show.

3 - I have another blog, and I never talk about money there.

2 - My birthmark faded so much it’s hard to see now.

1 - My honey and I have not yet had the money disclosure talk and all our money is still separate, even though I’m moving in this weekend.  Discuss amongst yourselves.

Thanks for tagging me, y’all.  As usual, I’m not tagging anyone… but if you wanna jump in, consider this your invitation!

rolling in it

After depositing my pay and my tuition reimbursement into my bank accounts, I looked at my balance and thought, "Enjoy it while it lasts because once you pay bills and attack debt, you’ll be left with a small purse."

I’m sure too many of us can relate.  It looks like a lot of money until you think about what you have to do with it.  But I had a thought that kind of made me feel better.  If I didn’t have to pay back debt with this money, look how much I would have to save or spend!  I’m about to cut what’s left of my old credit card debt in half.  This will be a reality in a short few months’ time.  Then, I’ll be rolling in it…  okay, maybe just saving big chunks and not really rolling in it, but, it’ll feel real good to have ownership of my own money.
