sick of babysitting money
The good news is, between a reimbursement from work and some refunds of deposits, my income this month will be really high.
The bad news is, unexpected/unplanned for expenses are cutting into my surplus. I have to make an unexpected visit to the doctor this week - that means a co-pay and maybe even a prescription co-pay. I was supposed to take my car for maintenance a long time ago, and I just can’t in good conscience put it off any longer, so there’s one more thing I have to pay for. Not to mention what little celebrating I’ve done in the past few days. I ordered a pizza (over-budget), I ate at Applebee’s with friends out-of-town (dinner and gas, all over-budget). I wanted to celebrate some more last week, but all I could think was, in the words of my beloved mother, "This ain’t no pay week." Tee hee. It’s funnier hearing her say it out loud.
Actually this week is a pay week, thank the Lord. It’s also automatic debit week. I have no idea which checking account my student loan and insurance payments will be debited from, so I have to make some phone calls and/or keep the required amount in both accounts just in case. It’s a good thing I’ll have extra income with which to pull that off. I’ll be so glad when this switch between accounts is over! Until it’s over, nothing is automatic - everything needs babysitting. And here I was starting to get spoiled with all my automatic deposits and debits - there is no better way to handle things, I’m telling you!
